Civics Education Petition to Follow New York State Education Law

Affecting the citizens residing under the governance of the State of New York.

Under Section 801 of New York State Education Law, the Board of Regents is required to prescribe courses of instruction in the history, meaning, significance and effect of the provisions of the constitution of the United States, the Declaration of Independence, and the constitution of the State of New York. This law has never been followed. We seek to compel the Governor and the Board of Regents to follow the law to ensure future generations are properly anchored to our constitutional principles.   - Read the Petition

Quote of the Week

If money is wanted by Rulers who have in any manner oppressed the People, they may retain it until their grievances are redressed, and thus peaceably procure relief, without trusting to despised petitions or disturbing the public tranquility.

--Journals of the Continental Congress, 1:105-113
